PDRN – polydeoxyribonucleotide, also listed as Sodium DNA or "Salmon DNA" on the packaging – is the active that is currently in almost every new Korean serum. For which skin?

For skin that lacks glow: dull, tired, low on hydration, first fine lines. The textures are light, so PDRN also works for combination skin. If your skin is also sensitive, start with the Anua serum – it is fragrance-free.

How PDRN fits into the routine

After cleansing and toner, before the cream. One PDRN serum in the evening is enough; in the morning, sunscreen goes on top. The masks once or twice a week.

Note for fish allergy

Classic PDRN – "Sodium DNA" in the ingredient list – is derived from salmon. If you are allergic to fish, talk to your doctor before use and test the product on a small patch of skin first. Plant-based alternatives are the ginseng PDRN from VT Cosmetics and the vegan b-PDRN complex from Bano:Bagi.
